In her blog before Christmas, Jo mentioned that The Touring Network team had identified communication between the office and promoters as being a key priority for 2016. As well as the new regular Team Blog and Promoter’s Voice features in the Promoters Noticeboard, we have also been looking at other ways to improve how we communicate with you, to make sure you get the most from your membership.

Over the next few months, John Saich, our former Membership Officer for Argyll, will be getting in touch with all promoters in The Touring Network to catch up. His mission is to find out what life is like as a Promoter in your community, what your plans are, what challenges you’re facing, and more specifically, how The Touring Network can help. Whether it’s helping to boost your confidence as a programmer, working with you to reach new audiences, or simply being a sounding board for your ideas or frustrations, we want to make sure that our services and projects match your needs.

John will be holding one to one consultations with Promoter members between now and early spring and will be contacting each of you soon to arrange a meeting or chat over the phone at a time convenient to you. In the meantime, if there’s anything you want to ask straight away, you can contact John by email.

For those of you who use Facebook, we have also set up a new group for Touring Network Promoters. We’ll be using this group to highlight upcoming opportunities, and to chat with you all informally. Our fortnightly Promoter’s Noticeboard will still be our main form of communication with you, so don’t forget to keep an eye out for it every second Thursday, around 3pm.

If you didn’t receive an invitation to join the Facebook group, or don’t receive our Promoter’s Noticeboard, get in touch with Rhiannon.
