Liz Lochhead: Somethings Old, Somethings New

18 March, 2016 @ 8:00 pm

£10

Liz Lochhead, Scotland’s Makar, and her old friend, saxophonist Steve Kettley, entertain us with party pieces old and new.

From the bittersweet to the rude and raunchy, Scotland’s Makar, LIZ LOCHHEAD, weaves a spellbinding and beguiling show, mixing poems, monologues and music. Accompanied by the soulful sax of STEVE KETTLEY she presents an intoxicating mix of some of her best work over the past 45years.

‘…brilliant, raucous and scabrously funny’ (Sunday Times)

The pair will captivate us with their enchanting mix of poems, monologues and music, covering Liz’s best work of the past 45 years, from the bittersweet to the comical, accompanied by bluesy, soulful and sometimes silly saxophone. One not to be missed!

“‘An inspirational force in British Poetry…funny, feisty, full of feeling, a fantastic performer.” Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate.

Start time 8:00pm, tickets £10 (OAPs & under 18s £8).
