Simon Thacker has been to Ardross Hall twice now over the past three years, a very accomplished and inventive classical guitarist who blends new world sounds though is quite intense as a performer/musician. This was the first time I was seeing Simon perform with others and it was a sublime show. Throughout his life the Estonian shaman and composer, Urmas Sisask, has felt a strong connection to the stars and composed many pieces inspired by stellar constellations. The Grieg Piano duo - Elles van der Heiden and Siebert Nix - play three of his pieces, together with one of Schubert’s, in a special concert-with-slides programme.
