Edinburgh’s International Children’s Festival, Imaginate, took place in venues around Edinburgh from 28 May – 5 June 2016. We supported Sam, from Nairn Backstage Promoters, with a Go See bursary to attend the festival, and asked her to share some of her thoughts with us.
Why did you want to take part in this Go See opportunity Sam?
I was keen to broaden my understanding and knowledge of theatre and dance being made for children both in Scotland and internationally, to ensure that Nairn Backstage Promoters are able to take the opportunity to book some of the most high quality childrens theatre.
What did you get out of the experience?
It was a brilliant networking opportunity, I was able to identify various shows suitable for programming, and I now feel part of a larger eco system.
Do you hope to book any of the acts that you saw?
I would love the opportunity to book The Bookbinder, Poggle, and The Great Illusionist.
