With the Edinburgh Fringe in full swing, our Programme Ambassadors are preparing for their visit to the festival to gather some programming inspiration.

Joni from Argyll Arts Collective and Sam from Nairn Backstage Promoters are our Programme Ambassadors this year, and we’ve set them the task of scouting out some exciting performers and shows that are suitable for touring to venues and communities in The Touring Network. Shows that are tour-ready and that fit our criteria will be included in the Supported Programme Collection, which means promoters can apply for a bursary in order to programme the shows. They’ll also be sharing their recommendations for performers and shows to consider for the Gathering Showcase next September too.

Keep an eye out in The Touring Network Promoter’s Facebook group for Joni and Sam’s reviews and recommendations from the Fringe. You can also read Joni’s reviews from her trip to the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival and the Hidden Door Festival back in May in the group too – just search for “Joni” in the group.

You can also view our list of recommended shows to see at the Fringe there too.

Not on Facebook? Drop us a line and we’ll share their reviews and recommendations via email.

We are also pleased to be supporting Petria from Ardross Community Hall, Kresanna from Findhorn Bay Arts, and some of our GET IN Youth Promoters to attend the Fringe this year. Look out for their reviews in the Facebook group too.
