The aim of the new Touring Network Innovation Lab is to research and develop ways that digital tools, connected data, and design thinking can strengthen the touring infrastructure in Scotland and beyond. The launch of the Lab coincides with having all the necessary funding in place to fulfil a much needed ambition to fully develop Tourbook, and we are pleased to announce that Jane Wilde and Adrian Lear of think.in.form are the initial associates to be contracted to kick start the Innovation Lab. We will also be recruiting other associates in technical development and sales and marketing in the next couple of months, who will work with think.in.form to launch the exciting next phase of Tourbook.

We know that many of our members find Tourbook to be a valuable tool, which enhances and adds value to the other services offered by the Touring Network. At the same time however, we are greatly aware of the need to take the tool to the next level, and would ask members to bear with us over the next few months until we relaunch the platform in the Autumn.

In the meantime, you can expect to receive regular news and updates from us on progress with Tourbook, whilst some members will be invited to take part in focus groups to test new features. If you would like to find out more about the Innovation Lab, visit our webpage, or download our Business Plan: Touring Network Business Plan 2015-2020 web version.
