Hannah Rarity and Anna Massie

5 December, 2019 @ 7:30 pm

£10

A special winter concert at Craignish Village Hall with BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2018 Hannah Rarity. Noted as ‘One to Watch in 2018’ by The Scotsman her powerful vocals have been well-suited to collaborations and performances with Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC SSO, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Irish-American band Cherish the Ladies. Hannah is accompanied on guitar by Anna Massie, one of Scotland’s foremost multi-instrumentalists. Renowned for her work with Blazin’ Fiddles and Mairearad Green, the past few years have also seen Anna perform with her own band, Bella Hardy, Julie Fowlis, Kate Rusby, Karen Matheson, Capercaillie and Eddi Reader.

Three time nominee for Best Instrumentalist at the Scots Trad Music Awards, she is a highly talented musician “…lively, often witty arrangements with Anna Massie’s deft banjo and guitar compelling at the heart.” Colin Irwin, MOJO (2013)
