ABOUT WIDE DAYS:

Wide Days was launched in 2010 providing a forum for Scottish music business and artists to connect with the international industry.

In 2014 it was named Best Networking Event at the Yearly Music Convention Awards, was runner up in the same category in 2015 and was also nominated for Best Convention Venue in 2016.

Wide Days has attracted key music industry players from the UK, US, Norway, Iceland and the Netherlands, and in 2014 featured a special focus on the German music market. Moreover, the conference was used to launch of the Music Venue Trust, the Off Axis gigging network and establish a green festivals network in Scotland.

Wide Days 2017 included showcases by The Ninth Wave, Declan Welsh, The Vegan Leather and Emme Woods, Be Charlotte, Elle Exxe, Kathryn Joseph, C Duncan. Honeyblood, PAWS and Garden Of Elks.

They have just announced the line-up of 2018 showcase acts:

“We are excited to announce our 2018 showcase line-up, which features a diverse snapshot of Scotland’s most exciting emerging talent.

This year’s acts – CRYSTAL, Edwin Organ, Graham Costello’s STRATA, LUCIARascalton, Wuh Oh and Zoe Graham – were selected from over 200 applications, and chosen in consultation with a network of A&R scouts, broadcasters, promoters, journalists and festival organisers.

Supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland’s Open Project Fund and PRS Foundationand presented in partnership with Eventbrite and DIY with Jägermeister, the showcases take place across three city-centre Edinburgh venues: Teviot Row House Debating Hall, La Belle Angele and The Mash House. Priority access to all gigs is guaranteed with a Wide Days delegate pass, and members of the public can apply for free tickets to attend one of the shows here.”
