Are you a promoter from within The Touring Network?
It is important that our promoter members are represented on our Board, and we are therefore looking for at least two promoters to join as Non-Executive Directors to the Board.
If you are interested in helping shape the future of the performing arts in the Highlands and Islands, and in strengthening the cultural infrastructure of our volunteer promoter membership, we would love to hear from you.
The Touring Network Board meets quarterly in a location that is convenient to all Directors. Typically, meetings are held in the afternoon to allow for travel times. Where Board members require accommodation in order to attend meetings, this is paid for through The Touring Network’s expenses policy, as are travel expenses. It is also possible for one Director to attend each meeting by telephone or video conferencing facility.
In between meetings, Board members discuss matters online, and those Board members with the skills/time relevant to a task are requested to take part. Where particular tasks need to be accomplished, sub-committees are established, and on occasion these may require additional time/meetings –however this is to be decided as per the task and the availability of relevant Board members.
In addition it is expected that all Board members are present for the annual general meeting, and any other major Touring Network events (usually 1-2 times a year).
