Anxo Lorenzo: maestro of the Galician gaita

Anxo Lorenzo is a virtuoso award-winning galician piper who has toured extensively throughout the major European festival circuit, having featured in WOMAD, Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections, Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Festival do Mondo Celta de Ortigueira, Schottish Weekend, Willian Kennedy Piping Festival, to name but a few.His exceeding high octane, mesmerizing performances have left audiences in euphoria, becoming a modern entry in the lore of many of these long established events.His band combine an absolute mastery of their instruments and provide a show full of power passion and aural delight. Anxo has played with many great musicians during his career from Lugravenasa to Kathryn Tickell and many others.This is a truly pan european event including Galicians, Portugese and Irish musicians.
