The Festival offers a unique opportunity to enjoy an amazing variety of arts and cultural events all taking place in and around the ancient market town of Forres and the beautiful pine woodlands and sandy beaches of Findhorn Bay in Moray.
The Festival will see artists, both local, national and international, gathering together to entertain visitors with a colourful mix of outdoor theatre, live music, fine-art and photography, walk about performers, tours and talks, lots of have-a-go activities and much, much more…
The 1st Findhorn Bay Arts Festival brings Macbeth home to Moray as part of the year of Homecoming Scotland 2014, in a celebration of both the Real King and Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Macbeth : the Red King includes a programme of talks and tours and Macbeth the Remix – a stunning, 21st century site-specific, outdoor performance in which the magic and mayhem of Shakespeare’s Macbeth are brought to life.
The venues, diverse and imaginative, include the atmospheric Brodie Castle and Findhorn’s famous Universal Hall. For visitors from further afield the local accommodation is equally eclectic and takes in eco cabins, wigwams and a B&B built of straw.
So please join us the last weekend in September for the inaugural Findhorn Bay Arts Festival. The setting will be wonderful. There’s something for everyone.
