And breathe.

How are we all?

We are here, we’re staying positive, and connected.

But is feels different, doesn’t it?

Whilst we are geographically spread as a network  – we are closely connected by our cohesive vision for better access to remarkable live performances across rural Scotland.

But right now.

There are no performances.

No public spaces being used.

It is a tough time.

A strange time.

For an organisation that strives to bring people together, in whatever way, to make our communities better places to live and work; our activities have, overnight, been made impossible.

But we can still remain connected, and we intend to retain that spirit during these difficult times!

We have reviewed, discussed, shifted, and amended where we can over the last couple of weeks, and have now taken the decision to make three tweaks to our organisation’s output over the next wee while, which we’ve outlined below.

1) We will be pausing membership renewals for the next 3 months.

If your membership is due for renewal before the end of June, you will still be able to access all our services as usual, including our funding pots, and our online members area.

2) We will be hosting online meet-ups bi-weekly for the foreseeable.

These are informal and aim to be a way for fellow promoters and performers to come together to share their experiences during this challenging time. Join us here

3) We will be taking some time to review our Funding and Supported Programme offering for the year ahead, to help better support your needs in the future months.

The needs of our members will have changed, and whilst you might not be able to book or tour performances right now, we are still here to support you to keep rural communities alive. Please get in touch should you need our support to enable this to happen.

Finally, we, as a team, want to send our warmest wishes to you and your families during this time.  We too are having to make adjustments.  Strange working hours, less working hours, and a general understanding of the need to be here, present for the ones we love.  And we support you to do the same.  But please be assured we are still here for you when you need us.

See you online soon!

Love

The Touring Network Team
