Robbie Syne was a mountain biking physiologist before he began a career as a dancer and choreographer. He has worked across the UK and internationally making new work and developing education projects. In 2011 he returned from London to his native Ross-shire, and has since made work exploring how place can affect our relationship with environment and concepts of home. As part of The Touring Network’s Spring Gathering 2014, Robbie and collaborator, Lucy Boyes, brought us their fantastic work, The Past Inside the Present, a piece is based on the investigation of memory and featuring three outstanding performers in their 60’s and 70’s.
Robbie also joined us for a discussion on dance, what is can mean to audiences and what a pleasure it is….
